Prayer is talking to God as a friend.

“எதைப்பற்றியும் கவலைப்படவேண்டாம்.  ஆனால், நன்றியோடு கூடிய இறைவேண்டல், மன்றாட்டு ஆகிய அனைத்தின் வழியாகவும் கடவுளிடம் உங்கள் விண்ணபங்களைத்  தெரிவியுங்கள்.”  –    பிலி: 4:6

It is part of a divine-human communication. It is not just giving orders or providing information. Prayer is our response to God who has already spoken. He has revealed Himself in Jesus, the living Word, the Bible.

respond with thanksgiving for the love of Jesus, the splendor of His creation and the hope of his return.

express our petitions for His kingdom to come when facing sin and selfishness and all it consequences, feeling that God is far away.

ask God to intervene, for friends in need, for enemies lost in sin, for a world suffering.

The Bible says the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective, yet something extraordinary happens when two or more agree together in prayer. In Matt. 18:19, Jesus said, “If any two of you agree touching any matter on this earth, it shall be done.”
